8 hours This one-day course is designed to manage sever bleeds and traumatic injuries through a combination of didactic lessons, skill stations, and progressive scenario training. During any sport such as target shooting or hunting where you carrying a gun, there is a chance that you will find yourself on a scene where someone is severely wounded. EMS response may be delayed leaving it up to you to provide initial care and emergency management. This course was designed to give its participants the skills and confidence needed to be able to render aid in these situations.
Course Objectives: - Be able to identify, prioritize, and treat life threatening injuries - Understand what should be included in a first aid kit - Control Bleeding | Tourniquet application - Open an Airway | Airway Management - Treat Chest Wounds using Chest Seals - Treat for Shock - Dressing application | Wound Packing - Field care scenarios - Transporting casualties and basic evac considerations
Participants will receive certification in Stop the Bleed®and ATRC certificate of completion.
