This intensive one-day course equips participants with the skills to manage severe bleeds and traumatic injuries through a blend of didactic lessons, hands-on skill stations, and realistic scenario training. Whether you're engaged in activities like target shooting or hunting, there is always a risk of encountering a severely wounded individual. In situations where EMS response is delayed, your ability to provide initial care and emergency management is crucial. This course is designed to instill the confidence and competence needed to render aid effectively in such critical moments.
Course Objectives:
- Identify, prioritize, and treat life-threatening injuries
- Understand essential components of a first aid kit
- Control bleeding and apply tourniquets
- Open and manage airways
- Treat chest wounds with chest seals
- Manage shock
- Apply dressings and perform wound packing
- Navigate field care scenarios
- Transport casualties and consider basic evacuation strategies
This course goes beyond the basics of "Stop the Bleed." You'll learn from seasoned combat medics with extensive trauma response experience, gaining valuable knowledge and practical skills. By building on the fundamentals of "Stop the Bleed," this course enhances your resilience and response capabilities in high-stress situations.
Participants will receive certification in Stop the Bleed® and an ATRC certificate of completion.
