Delivered over two days, this course provides tailored content through a combination of didactic lessons, skill stations, and progressive scenario training to manage acute trauma in a dynamic environment. TACTRA was designed as professional development for members of the law enforcement, military, and armed duty, but is open to civilian shooters, enthusiasts and others who may be exposed to the shooting world. As a professional carrying a gun, there is a chance that you will find yourself on a scene where someone is severely wounded. If your life is still in danger from an active shooter or some other threat and medics are unavailable it will be up to you to respond. Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) was developed to assist military personnel in dealing with this type of situation.
Tactical Trauma course is based on current Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care guidelines for prehospital battlefield medicine and instructed by medics with real world experience. It is intended to help responders benefit from medical knowledge gained from combat and prehospital care to incorporate into their own tactics, techniques, and procedures when responding to similar situations.
